I read many on Tripadvisor saying that it is unwise to drive on the entire ring road during winter due to the icy road and strong wind. I am also planning to visit Iceland in Feb along the Ring Road. May I know if you drove on the entire Ring Road including the north island? Did you encounter any problem while driving? Hope you can help me on these, thanks....
its ok to drive in winter. get a good car with stud tire. we drove the entire ring road except the north diamond road. cheers
I drove the Ring Road twice in May both times and got caught in snow storms. I am never doing the Ring Road again. I will double back and save my nerves.
